Pamela Suran is a Fine Artist living and working in Jerusalem.
I was born in the U.S. and have lived in Israel since 1980.
 My work reflects my multi faceted impressions of living in the land of Israel and Jerusalem as things have developed during the past two decades. I grew up in Arizona and Colorado, and I have a deep love for God’s nature and the outdoors. I have been a professional fine artist for the past thirty three years, and have worked in oils, watercolors, drawing media, mural painting and mosaics.
My latest work involves high quality limited edition prints known as "Giclees" which capture my deep love for color quality. My experience as a fine artist ranges from private and public commissions to group and solo exhibitions. I have exhibited in Israel, U.S.A., and Europe. My principle themes in my paintings are biblical and historical, dealing with the Bible, and biblically related themes. I have painted many biblical landscapes of the land of Israel in addition to biblical narratives. “I have always had a passion for the outdoors, for nature and how God reflects Himself in his Creation. Since my childhood I have sought to find the beauty in life around me, and struggled to express that beauty. Somehow I know that human beings can never imitate the beauty of creation, but as an artist, I believe that I can participate in the understanding of the divine creative process. Painting in the land of Israel, the land of the Bible, the Holy land, is an on-going encounter with the paradoxes of beauty, tragedy, sorrow and anticipation of a future hope…I may never have the answer to this land’s yearnings, but I am sure that my visual contributions help people to have a wider and more open perspective…..to help people to look heavenward…”
Some of Pamela's published works include the following series…“The Gates of Jerusalem”, “If I forget You O Jerusalem”, “Impressions of Judea and Samaria”, “The Compassion of Jesus”, “Landscapes of Galilee”, “Jacob’s Dream”, "Jacob’s Struggle". She is the author of the book and series, “Golah u Geulah” (Exile and Redemption) which is a historical series about the Jewish People from 1933 until the present. Her most recent work is a series on the Twelve Tribes of Israel…a prophetic forward looking statement about the Twelve Tribes of Israel. Pamela is also a licensed Israeli tour guide and specializes in Biblical tours of the land, prayer tours, and spiritual pilgrimages.
